The new Delimiter property permits files with names containing commas to be more easily added to archives.

PowerWEB File Upload for ASP.NET has been updated to address an issue introduced by the Adobe Flash update to version 10.

In this version, if the browser implements Flash 10 or higher, the Upload control will gracefully switch to IFrame mode.  Look for a version fully compatible with Flash 10 later this month.

PowerWEB File Upload for ASP.NET has been updated with several issue fixes, including an incompatibility with pages that also permit file downloads.

PowerSNMP for .NET has been updated with new features. Mib compilation has been enhanced to support identical names from multiple modules. A new Modules table provides information on a module's defined names, as well as its imported definitions. Variable values can now easily be converted to hex string representations using the new ToHexString method. Additionally, several maintenance issues have been addressed.

PowerWEB File Upload for ASP.NET v1.0.4.5 Released!

PowerWEB File Upload is a customizable, Ajax-enabled file transfer control for ASP.NET. This release adds new properties to the ProgressPanel control that allows it to be further customized, including support for multi-byte characters for localization.  This update also corrects several issues reported since the last release.

PowerTCP Sockets and SSL Sockets have been updated with several new features. A Tcp WaitFor method has been added for easier implementation of protocols that employ message delimiters. The Ping component has a new Abort method, and the Dns component now supports multiple DNS servers. The Ping and Trace components have been updated with enhanced time precision. In the SSL Sockets product, remote host information can now be factored into connection acceptance decisions, as the CertificateReceived event now provides the remote endpoint. Additionally, both products now support 64 bit environments, and maintenance issues have been addressed.

On-the-fly ZLIB compression is now fully supported, conserving bandwidth for slower data connections.  Whidbey Compatibility Achieved!

Version 1.1.3 of PowerWEB LiveControls for ASP.NET now supports Microsoft's newest development environment, .NET version 2.0!

Other significant enhancements include:

• A single-file distribution that encapsulates all resources and scripts
• Flash support for playing sounds within non-IE browsers
• Flash communications support if XmlHttp is not available on the browser
• LiveDataGrid performance improved by an order of magnitude

This release of PowerTCP FTP for .NET (regular and secure versions) includes routine maintenance updates as well as the addition of three new properties:

• UseControlAddressForPassive property. Besides setting a record for our use of Hungarian notation, this property allows you to override the address returned from the server when the PASV command is sent.
• UseIpSync property. The XP SP2 firewall enhancement does not respond correctly to the IP/SYNC signal used for aborting a file transfer (neither do many servers). Through the use of this property, your users can control the use of this feature when aborting a file transfer.
• MaxTransferRate property. Since FTP file transfers can be processor intensive, customers have asked us to throttle the transfer speed. If the value of this property is below the actual transfer rate, the worker thread will be put to sleep each second to slow the actual rate to match this value specified by this property.

 DotNetNuke Campatibility Achieved!

Version 1.1.2 of PowerWEB LiveControls for ASP.NET now supports the popular DotNetNuke development environment. The included sample shows how you can build a DotNetNuke module to take advantage of all the features DotNetNuke has to offer.

 PowerWEB LiveControls for ASP.NET is a suite of 20 ASP.NET controls that enable software developers to build web applications that don't require a browser refresh. Just like the Microsoft intrinsic controls, LiveControls trigger events in code-behind, but do not require the client browser to be refreshed when data is sent back to the browser. This technique helps you create richer and cleaner web applications by eliminating the flicker and delays associated with a browser refresh, providing a smoother Windows-like behavior for the application. Version 2.0 Highlights

• Finally, software developers will be able to implement SSL over FTP through a Firewall using Dart's proprietary FirewallReady functionality (requires PowerTCP products on both sides of the connection). Previously this type of functionality has been unavailable in an ActiveX control.
• This version has also been re-engineered to support all major SSL over FTP standards and includes the capability to create custom configurations for compatibility with unique secure FTP implementations! Standard support includes Globalscape, WS_FTP, and SERV_U.
• The lower-level components such as SecureTCP and SecureServer have been heavily compatibility tested with common UNIX libraries such as OpenSSL and Certicom Plus.
• Additionally, the certificate handling capabilities have been improved with the addition of certificate creation using the CertificateStore plus extended certificate management capabilities such as certificate deletion.

PowerTCP Mail for .NET combines POP and SMTP protocols with Dart’s “MessageStream” technology, which enables the creation and manipulation of basic and complex mail messages without having to learn the complexities of message decoding/encoding. The bi-directional MessageStream class provides a stream interface that decodes and encodes MIME and non-MIME messages. Once decoded, messages can be easily read and manipulated using familiar properties and methods. For authoring, messages are easily created using the same object model. To make complex message creation even easier, high-level functionality enables the creation of HTML mail with only one line of code.
